Calculate Person's Age in Excel:

                Actually, You can calculate person's age orally, But, If you were working with huge data and you want to calculate age belongs to person's Birth Date in that huge data. Then, it will easy and versatile to use formula for calculations.               

There are 2 methods as below;

1. Formula mix-up 'INT & YEARFRAC

2. DATEDIF Formula

METHOD 1:

                First you should know Birth Date of Person. Formula consist of INT ( ) , Integer function takes 1 argument and we put here another formula YEARFRAC ( ). YEARFRAC takes 3 arguments, YEARFRAC(start_date, End_date, [basis]).

                Here, we take Start date as "Current Date" and End date as "Birth Date". and basis is 1. In that "Birth Date" is placed in cell A1 as fig. below;

         

  Now you press ENTER, The result is in numbers is equal to AGE

METHOD 2:

This is mysterious...In this method, The DATEDIF ( ) function we will using is not available in dropdown list of Excel. So, you didn't get helped for entering arguments as past. See below;

You have to create formula manually. See fig. below;

 Now you press ENTER, The result is in numbers is equal to AGE.

You will noticed that, In above formula "Y" is taken as its third argument. This have a meaning not a null. You should refer following table;

Unit	Code Returns
Y	The number of complete years in the period.
M	The number of complete months in the period.
D	The number of days in the period.
Md	The difference between the days in start_date and end_date. The months and years of the dates are ignored.
Ym	The difference between the months in start_date and end_date. The days and years of the dates are ignored.
Yd	The difference between the days of start_date and end_date. The years of the dates are ignored.
